Children

Early Childhood

Children are precious gifts who are well cared for in the nursery during service and morning Sunday school. Infants are separated from toddlers in their own classrooms. Two members are always present in each classroom to assist with potty breaks, playtime, story time, snack time, and supervision.

Children ages 4 and younger go to the nursery/toddler check in at the end of the hall. Our nursery is clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. For the safety and security of your child, please sign in and obtain the ID tags to pick up your child after service. Provide any special instructions at this time as well as your phone number to contact you in case of an emergency.

On warm days, we may bring the toddlers out to the church playground in the backyard for some outdoor play.

*Due to food allergies, nuts and snacks containing nuts are not allowed.

Kidz Worship & Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, First Southern Baptist Church holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles.

Children in Kindergarten through Sixth grade are dropped off before service begins at Fellowship Hall to the right of the sanctuary for Kidz Worship together  and then split into children’s church for separate K-2nd and 3rd-6th grade sessions.
